Aims of Project
Aims of Project
To learn basic to advanced techniques and skills of carpentry, woodworking, Metal Working, Glass, Perspex and other construction materials skills using low cost, easily sourced tools, materials and resources.
To repair, modify and build furniture and fixtures for daily use.
To upcycle, refurbish, repurpose and hack existing parts and furniture pieces into new ones. (See Old to Cool Project)

Nature of Project
To conduct literature research on techniques, skills and best practices on the following:
Carpentry and Woodworking
Metalworking
Working with Glass, Perspex and other transparent materials
Other Materials
To practice and develop skills in using low cost,easily sourced tools and materials
To develop knowledge and skills in the design of new furniture and fixutures, as well as the repair, modification and 'hacking' of existing ones.
To design and build examples and trial out in commercial and market settings.
